Subject: Wired Artical About Kevin Mitnick
Has anyone read the current Wired magazine? There was a really short paragraph about kevin. Here it is for anyone who wants to read it.

Free Kevin With the world's most notorious cybercriminal in jail since February 1995, and with no trial scheduled util 1999, Mitnick supporters fired up a publicity blitz. In addition to the standard pleas for defense-fund donations and slams on big media's spin - the latest is Miramax Film's upcoming Takedown - the campaign faults cyberactivists like the Electronic Frontier Foundation for not rallying to the cause.

note--there was a picture of kevin next to the article with the following caption, Kevin Mitnick's makeover:from cybersuspect to civil rights poster boy. This is one screwed up article. These people just don't get it. I thought most people never even heard of Kevin and suddenly he is the world's most notorious cybercriminal? And what publicity blitz would they be talking about? A few newspaper articles and a short cnbc piece don't qualify for a media blitz. These people talk about big media like they are an underground zine (like 2600) not the multimillion dollar corporation they are. The campaign (us) have wondered why cyberactivists like the EFF are not rallying for the cause, but as far as I know we have not blamed them for anything. They don't mention that the entire scriopt of Takedown is pure fiction and that is the main reason for a good amount of activity ,such as the Miramax protest, which by the way Wired attended.

ACK! You should be writing this in detail as a Letter-To-The-Editor of WIRED! (I hope you cc'd it to there and added more detail!)

Half way done reading the book Fugitive Game, and its really pissin me off. One things evident.. the book is full of a bunch of RATS. Cept for Kevin that is.. ;)

Takedown.. that book is IS SOO DAMN EGOTISTICAL that I almost didn't want to read after page 200..
